At Rosy Movement, we believe every person deserves to experience movement as a source of joy — free from shame, comparison, and the pressure to perform.
Rosy Movement is a boutique Pilates and Yoga studio at 20 Smith St, Collingwood. Alannah Miller, Susan Dowd, and Leia Mulroy are nationally accredited movement professionals that work with a small, intentional client community.
We're not a drop-in studio. Membership with us means your programming is personalised and ever-evolving, the consistency of moving regularly translates into progress well beyond the physical, and you become part of a community that shows up for each other, week in, week out..

Whether you are here for rehabilitation, pregnancy support, navigating perimenopause, seeking size-inclusive movement, or curious about what Pilates and Yoga can do for your health — Rosy Movement is intentionally designed for you to get in touch with your bodies needs, and build a relationship with moving that lasts.
The people who find Rosy have usually exhausted all the exercise shoulds. They arrive frustrated, or cautious, or unsure. They leave with a clearer sense of what their body can do, what they want and a movement practice that evolves with them.
ROSY MOVEMENT OFFERS
Two entry pathways. Two types of membership.
Intentional, high-touch care across both.
SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES Small group sessions with a maximum of four participants. Each person works from their own personalised Pilates programme or tailored yoga flow, with individual instructor attention throughout. Led by Susan, Leia and Alannah.
PRIVATE CLASSES One-to-one sessions with Alannah, Susan, or Leia. Built entirely around your body, your history, and your goals. Available in-studio and online.
CLINICAL REHAB Bridging medical rehabilitation with movement that serves your body's ongoing needs.
PREGNANCY Supportive movement for planning, pregnancy, and postpartum phases.
SIZE-INCLUSIVEMovement that liberates every body without judgment or focus on weight loss.
PERIMENOPAUSE / MENOPAUSE Targeted support that is responsive to how you feel. Evidence shows you don't need a different or more complicated approach to exercise, just an attuned one.
WHAT WE VALUE AT ROSY MOVEMENT
HUMAN FIRST,
MOVEMENT SECOND
We see you as a whole person, not just a body to be trained.
MULTIPLE WAYS TO LEARN
Through options that fit your personal needs, goals and location.
ACCESSIBLE SPACE
With our ground-level studio and versatile Pilates apparatus, props and strength equipment that adapts to all bodies.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
With thoughtful blinds and curtains that create a feeling of safety rather than exposure.
NO MIRRORS
Allowing you to focus on how movement feels rather than how it looks.
WHAT SETS ROSY MOVEMENT APART
“I don't think I've ever experienced a movement space quite as gentle and nurturing as Rosy. I get to explore, soften and challenge myself in a way that feels entirely my own. Encouragement without force.” — Sophia,
The difference between Rosy Movement and most movement spaces is not the equipment or the location. It is the people, the structure, and the depth of care that the membership model makes possible.
IN-DEPTH COMMUNICATION that helps create a movement approach honouring your body's wisdom, lived experience and personal story
SCIENCE WITH HEART weaving research with lived experience to create meaningful and relevant movement experiences
NOT JUST ANOTHER PILATES AND YOGA STUDIO Rosy specialises in creating bespoke movement solutions for rehabilitation, pregnancy, perimenopause, and size-inclusive movement that liberates rather than scrutinises the body
TEACHING YOU TO TRUST YOURSELF with methods that help you learn the skill of how to have agency so that you feel confident in movement both in and outside our studio
A LIVED EXPERIENCE APPROACH Alannah experienced a debilitating back injury at 21 that began the journey of transforming her relationship with movement from punishment to healing.
TRANSFORMATION BEYOND PERFORMANCE where your worth exists independently of what your body looks or performs like
FINDING JOY IN MOVEMENT that transforms exercise from something you "should do" into something you want to do
EMPOWERING RATHER THAN INSTRUCTING we flip the conventional "follow the instructor" model so you build your own body awareness and movement confidence
Rosy Movement works with people who pour a great deal into the world and have ended up depleted by it. People who've tried the standard fitness options and come away misunderstood, stifled and unsatisfied. People who carry complex movement histories — injuries, conditions, difficult experiences with fitness spaces — and are looking for a place to move that is fiercely committed to supporting their emotional and mental well-being, as much as they care about improving physical capacity.
We know the relationship between body and movement can be complicated. You don't need to arrive ready, certain, or at peace with your body. Wherever you're starting from, you're welcome here.

“You go to Rosy for the expertise, but you stay for the kindness and the curiosity. The way they listen and guide, not talk and prescribe, has allowed me to move forward physically and mentally.” — Stef, Private Member

ROSY PEOPLE
ALANNAH MILLER
PILATES TEACHER, EXERCISE SCIENTIST & FOUNDER OF ROSY
Alannah founded Rosy Movement after a decade of learning, teaching, and refining her practice across fitness, sport, and clinical environments — developing a deep understanding of what person-centred care requires, and who mainstream fitness leaves behind.
Alannah’s teaching is purposeful, collaborative and exploratory. Every decision, every word, every structural choice traces back to a deeply held why that every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood.
SUSAN DOWD
PILATES TEACHER
Susan is a very grounded and precise Pilates teacher, with a deep attentiveness to the person she is working with. She does not believe there is a perfect way to do Pilates. She cares about whether a movement is serving the person doing it, creating sessions that are relevant without being rigid, and challenging without being pressured.
Susan is completely obsessed and fascinated with every iteration, variation and possibility the pilates method can translate. She uses all of it to make your experience feel entirely personal and purposeful.
LEIA MULROY
YOGA AND PILATES TEACHER
Leia holds a deep respect for the body and the time people choose to spend engaging in organised exercise. Her sessions are integrative by design, drawing on a combination of modalities to serve whoever is in front of her, in whatever way they need that day.
Our members described her sessions as exacting and restorative. In a way that comes not from doing less, but from understanding more.

20 Smith St, Collingwood. Ground floor, natural light, fully equipped Pilates and Yoga studio.
A space that is deliberately designed to feel like the opposite of a gym.
At Rosy Movement, exercise is not about what we do to our bodies.
It is about what we do with our bodies to make our lives better.
