At Rosy Movement, every person deserves to experience movement as a source of joy — free from shame, comparison, and the pressure to perform.
Rosy Movement is a boutique Pilates and yoga studio at 20 Smith St, Collingwood. Alannah Miller, Susan Dowd, and Leia Mulroy work with a small, intentional client community — building personalised programmes, maintaining ongoing relationships, and delivering the kind of care that is only possible when the room is small and the attention is genuine.
This is not a drop-in studio. It is a membership — and that distinction is what makes the work possible.
Monthly matwork classes exploring specific movement ideas
NEXT CLASS: 4PM, SUNDAY 28th JUNE with LEIA MULROY
A class that uses myofascial release and yoga to unwind the muscles that shape your breath.

All classes limited to 7 people.
Whether you are here for rehabilitation, pregnancy support, navigating perimenopause, seeking size-inclusive movement, or simply wondering what Pilates and yoga can actually do for your body — Rosy Movement is built for people who have not yet found a movement space that truly fits.
The people who find Rosy have usually exhausted the exercise shoulds. They arrive frustrated, or cautious, or simply unsure. They leave with a clearer sense of what their body can do — and a practice that keeps evolving alongside them.
ROSY MOVEMENT OFFERS
Two entry pathways. One studio.
The same level of care across both.
SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES Small group sessions with a maximum of four participants. Each person works from their own personalised Pilates programme or tailored yoga flow, with individual instructor attention throughout. Led by Susan and Leia.
PRIVATE CLASSES One-to-one sessions with Alannah, Susan, or Leia. Built entirely around your body, your history, and your goals. Available in-studio and online.
CLINICAL REHAB Bridging medical rehabilitation with movement that serves your body's ongoing needs.
PREGNANCY Supportive movement for planning, pregnancy, and postpartum phases.
SIZE-INCLUSIVEMovement that celebrates every body without judgment or focus on weight loss.
PERIMENOPAUSE / MENOPAUSE Targeted support that is responsive to how you feel. Evidence shows you don't need a different or more complicated approach to exercise, just an attuned one.

WHAT SETS ROSY MOVEMENT APART
“I don't think I've ever experienced a movement space quite as gentle and nurturing as Rosy. I get to explore, soften and challenge myself in a way that feels entirely my own. Encouragement without force.” — Sophia, Member
The difference between Rosy Movement and most movement spaces is not the equipment or the location. It is the people, the structure, and the depth of care that the membership model makes possible.
IN-DEPTH COMMUNICATION that helps create a movement approach honouring your body's wisdom, lived experience and personal story
SCIENCE WITH HEART weaving research with lived experience to create meaningful and relevant movement experiences
NOT JUST ANOTHER PILATES AND YOGA STUDIO Rosy specialises in creating bespoke movement solutions for rehabilitation, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause, and size-inclusive movement that celebrates rather than scrutinises the body
TEACHING YOU TO TRUST YOURSELF with methods that help you feel confident in movement both in and outside our studio
A LIVED EXPERIENCE APPROACH founded by Alannah after a debilitating back injury at 21 transformed her relationship with movement from punishment to healing
TRANSFORMATION BEYOND PERFORMANCE where your worth exists independently of what your body looks or performs like
FINDING JOY IN MOVEMENT that transforms exercise from something you "should do" into something you want to do
EMPOWERING RATHER THAN INSTRUCTING we flip the typical "follow the instructor" model so you build your own movement confidence
Rosy Movement works with people who pour a great deal into the world and have ended up depleted by it. People who have tried the standard options and found them wanting. People who carry complex movement histories — injuries, conditions, difficult experiences with fitness spaces — and need something built around them rather than borrowed from a general programme.
The only requirement to begin at Rosy is being ready to approach your body with curiosity rather than criticism.
REFER A FRIEND
“You go to Rosy for the expertise, but you stay for the kindness and the curiosity. The way they listen and guide, not talk and prescribe, has allowed me to move forward physically and mentally.” — Stef, Private Member
Know someone who might love movement that actually listens to them?
When you refer a friend who purchases a Get Started Bundle, you both win:
They get compassionate, personalised movement support
You receive 10% off your next weekly membership payment
The best kind of movement spreads through genuine connection, not flashy advertising.
ROSY PEOPLE
ALANNAH MILLER
PILATES TEACHER, EXERCISE SCIENTIST & FOUNDER OF ROSY
Alannah founded Rosy Movement after a debilitating back injury at 21 transformed her relationship with movement from punishment to healing. Nearly a decade of teaching later, that experience still shapes everything — the depth of the intake process, the attention to the person behind the programme, and the commitment to a space where nobody is made to feel like they are doing it wrong.
SUSAN DOWD
PILATES TEACHER
Susan has been part of the Rosy Movement community since the early days. Grounded, precise, and deeply attentive — her sessions are built around the person in the room, not the programme on the page.
LEIA MULROY
YOGA AND PILATES TEACHER
Leia brings an integrative approach to movement that attends to the nervous system as much as the body. Her sessions are calm, considered, and genuinely restorative in a way that extends well beyond the physical.

A space that has been deliberately built to feel like the opposite of a gym.
At Rosy Movement, exercise is not about what we do to our bodies.
It is about what we do with our bodies to make our lives better.
