Semi-Private Pilates at Rosy Movement offers the perfect balance—the energy and connection of sharing space with others while still receiving personalised attention and guidance. With a maximum of just four participants per 50-minute class, these sessions maintain an intimate feel with abundant individual support.

YOUR PERSONALISED MOVEMENT MENU

Each participant works with their own custom Movement Menu designed specifically for their body, preferences, goals and what feels meaningful to them. This menu travels with you throughout the session, providing:

  • Core movements that support your comfort, connection and daily life

  • Exercises curated for your current movement and lifestyle goals

  • Progressive elements that build strength, flexibility and capability as you desire

  • Techniques and skills we're exploring together

  • Options to expand your practice when it feels right for you

FREE MOVEMENT BETWEEN EQUIPMENT

You'll have access to all Pilates apparatus (Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Mat) along with various props and free weights, giving you the freedom to move between equipment and stations at your own pace. With just four participants maximum, there's plenty of space and equipment for everyone to explore.

GUIDED INDEPENDENCE

Rosy instructors remain actively present throughout the class—offering options, guidance, and encouragement while supporting your movement autonomy. You'll learn to set up equipment, make adjustments, and deepen your connection with what your body needs.

Our Collingwood studio features adjustable blinds and curtains for privacy, no mirrors (unless requested), and a layout that minimises feeling exposed or observed.

Semi-Private classes celebrate the learning process, not perfection. There's no competition, comparison, or expectation to move in a certain way.

HOW ROSY’S SEMI-PRIVATE
CLASSES WORK …

INITIAL CONSULTATION We start with a thorough conversation and movement observation to get to know you, understand your personal story and movement experiences. This forms the foundation of your personalised approach.

INTRODUCTORY PRIVATE CLASS This second session allows us to create your personalised Movement Menu based on our first session, ensuring you feel comfortable and connected to your program before joining the group environment. 

CHOOSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP After completing your consultation and introductory private session, you can choose flexible drop-in classes ($80) or select from our weekly membership options (Move 1-4) for better value and the benefits that come with a consistent movement practice. 

SELECT YOUR SCHEDULE  Semi-Private classes are available at various times throughout the week at our Collingwood studio. Online options are also available for semi-private sessions. 

BEAR APPEARANCES Our studio manager, Bear often joins semi-private sessions, bringing a relaxed atmosphere that helps clients feel more at ease.

SEMI-PRIVATE PILATES FAQs

  • Semi-Private classes operate through weekly memberships starting from $59/week for one class (Move 1) up to $199/week for four classes (Move 4). Single drop-in sessions are $80. Weekly memberships offer better value and support consistent practice, with no lock-ins and the flexibility to pause anytime.

  • Our Semi-Private classes have a maximum of four participants, ensuring you receive personalised attention while enjoying the energy of moving with others.

  • No previous Pilates experience is required. Every new client begins with an initial consultation and introductory private session to create your personalised Movement Menu before joining the Semi-Private environment. This ensures you feel comfortable and confident from your first group session.

  • Traditional group classes typically follow an instructor-led format where everyone does the same exercises together. Our Semi-Private sessions use personalised Movement Menus, allowing you to work at your own pace across different equipment based on your individual needs and goals, while still receiving guidance and support.

  • Your personalised Movement Menu guides you to the most beneficial equipment and exercises for your body and goals. You'll also have exercise lists posted near each piece of equipment, and an instructir remains actively present to offer guidance and suggestions throughout your session.
