SMALL GROUP MOVEMENT WITH INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION
SEMI-PRIVATE PILATES AND YOGA CLASSES
Semi-private sessions at Rosy Movement run with a maximum of four people.
Each person works from their own personalised programme alongside a familiar group with individual instructor attention from Susan, Leia or Alannah.
We believe in teaching the skill of personal agency. The skill of figuring out what works for you, rather than following someone else’s arbitrary rules or society’s expectations. Our classes offer embodiment, deep awareness and a movement practice that evolves as you do.

“The semi-private sessions are great; it's a casual and friendly vibe, and we're all able to work with individual attention on our tailored exercise plans. Because of the small numbers, each of us gets real sensitivity and response to how we're feeling on that particular day and what kinds of movement we're keen to do.” — Ellie
SEMI-PRIVATE PILATES CLASSES
THE MOVEMENT MENU APPROACH
Our Semi-Private Pilates classes feature a unique structure that strengthens your personal agency and movement confidence.
YOUR PERSONALISED PILATES MOVEMENT MENU
Each participant has their own personalised pilates and movement programme — prepared by Susan, Leia or Alannah. We don’t hand you any exercise in the moment. You will have a set of thoughtfully designed exercises built around your body, your history, and your goals.
Core movements that support your comfort, connection and daily life
Exercises curated for your current movement and lifestyle goals
Progressive elements that build strength, flexibility and capability as you desire
Techniques and skills we're exploring together
Options to expand your practice when it feels right for you
The value is not just in the 50 minute classes. It is also in the review and refinement Susan, Leia or Alannah put into your movement menu between sessions, the quarterly check-ins that make sure nothing falls through the cracks, and the continuity of practitioners who know your body and carry that knowledge forward every single week.
You'll have access to all Pilates apparatus (Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Mat) along with various props and free weights, giving you the freedom to move between equipment and stations at your own pace. With only four participants maximum, there's plenty of space and equipment for everyone to explore.
Rosy teachers remain actively present throughout the class—offering options, guidance, and encouragement while supporting your movement autonomy. You'll learn to set up equipment, make adjustments, and deepen your connection with what your body needs.
SEMI-PRIVATE YOGA CLASSES
THE SHARED FLOW APPROACH
Semi-private yoga at Rosy Movement is led by Leia and limited to four participants. Sessions weave breathwork, gentle flowing sequences, mobility-focused movement, strength-building asana, and restorative postures into a slow, fluid practice that attends to the nervous system as much as the body.
A COMFORTABLE, SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT AT ROSY
Rosy Movement is intentionally designed for people mainstream fitness has misunderstood, stifled, and ignored.
THOUGHTFUL STUDIO DESIGN
Our Collingwood studio features adjustable blinds and curtains for privacy, no mirrors (unless requested), and a class structure that minimises feeling exposed or observed.
PERFECTION-FREE ZONE
Semi-Private classes celebrate the learning process, not perfection. There's no competition, comparison, or expectation to move in a certain way.
COMMUNITY CONNECTION
Share space with like-minded individuals who value supportive, non-judgmental movement. Many clients develop meaningful connections with their regular class companions.

HOW ROSY’S SEMI-PRIVATE
CLASSES WORK …
-
Semi-private membership starts from $75 per week for one session, up to $180 per week for three sessions. Drop-in casual sessions are $99. Every new client begins with the Get Started Bundle — a one-off $499 investment — before joining semi-private membership. See the pricing page for full details. New clients this winter can also access the Winter Get Started Offer — $349 for an initial consultation and private session, plus 21 days of unlimited semi-private Pilates.
-
A maximum of four participants per class.
-
No prior experience required. Every new client begins with the Get Started Bundle — a consultation and private session — before joining the semi-private environment. You arrive at your first session already knowing the equipment and already holding your personalised movement menu. You are not starting from scratch in a room full of strangers.
-
Private sessions are one-to-one — one practitioner, entirely focused on you. Semi-private sessions share the room with up to three other people, each working from their own personalised programme with individual instructor attention throughout. Both begin with the Get Started Bundle. Both are led by Alannah, Susan, or Leia. The difference is the room. Not sure which is right for you? Book a free call.
-
Your personalised movement menu guides you. Exercise lists are also posted near each piece of apparatus. Alannah, Susan and Leia are actively present throughout every session — not supervising from a corner, but guiding through the room and supporting each person individually.
SEMI-PRIVATE PILATES AND YOGA CLASS FAQS
NOT SURE WHETHER SEMI-PRIVATE
OR PRIVATE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Semi-private sessions are for people who like to move alongside others — in a small, familiar group, with their own personalised program and individual instructor attention.
Private sessions are for people who want or need undivided one-to-one attention — whether that is because of a specific injury or condition, working toward a performance goal, a preference for training alone or a movement history that calls for a closer eye.
Both pathways begin with the Get Started Bundle.
Both are led by Susan, Leia or Alannah. The difference is your preference.
What people are saying
-
"It's a kind, welcoming, low-pressure environment — just the right mix of silliness, challenge, friendly chat, mindful movement, and connection to my body."
"I had never thought about pilates before; I tried it out almost by mistake, and I'm glad I did! The semi-private sessions are great — a casual and friendly vibe, and we're all able to work with individual attention on our tailored exercise plans. Because of the small numbers, each of us gets real sensitivity and response to how we're feeling on that particular day and what kinds of movement we're keen to do. It feels relaxed, playful, exploratory. There's never any pressure; it's about the instructors using their knowledge to help each of us find movements that fit our bodies. The biggest thing is that my lower back, which has bothered me for years, feels much much better than before I started!"
Ellie
-
"I genuinely think people should join Rosy if they want a more comprehensive understanding of how their individual body works."
“Most people would've never taken a class where they were given a thorough explanation for why certain exercises or postures don't work for their body right now — with the goal of building towards them. It's also incredibly valuable for anyone who prefers working with the same instructor, as the team at Rosy have an ongoing understanding of where everyone is in their journey. You won't have to constantly re-explain yourself or feel like you're starting from scratch.”
Larika
-
"There is no pressure to perform."
“I love the variety of exercises and the new techniques from the different apparatus. What I love about the semi-private is the quiet camaraderie between clients and the instructor. I feel calm and supported — and inquisitive! Always wondering why I feel one way on one side and not the same on the other. The class sets me up for the day. I'm recovering from injury and I feel like I'm genuinely working through it, towards a place of no more discomfort.”

“I don't think I've ever experienced a movement space quite as gentle and nurturing as Rosy.”
“I get to explore, soften and challenge myself in a way that feels entirely my own—almost inception-like. When additional layers were offered, it still feels like my idea to engage with them. Encouragement without force."
